The proposals we’re developing for Cokerhurst Farm draw on our collective breadth of experience as developers who understand the importance of the environment created, sustainable communities, maintaining the vitality of the local economy and delivering much-needed homes.

Where we are now

The Sedgemoor District Council Local Plan was adopted in February 2019 following public consultation. It identifies Land at West Bridgwater as a Strategic Development Area for the delivery of approximately 1,200 homes, a neighbourhood centre and primary school. Our site forms part of this allocation. The draft Neighbourhood Plan is also progressing and, in accordance with the Local Plan, identifies our Site for development. From 9 October to 4 November 2018 we held a public consultation to give local people an opportunity to influence our proposals.

We considered all the comments we received in feedback and submitted a planning application to Sedgemoor District Council. You can view the planning documents here by searching for application number 51/19/00003. The application was approved by the Council’s planning committee in October 2020. The application we submitted was a hybrid, covering detailed plans for the southern part of the site and outline for the northern section.
